A Cultivate Charlotte Newsletter
Deep Roots: Whole-person care, one season at a time
We are grateful you are here.
This month's newsletter includes a simple holiday reflection, three things we're thankful for, information about Soul Care Studio’s first fundraiser, and reminders about our upcoming events: our $12 Slow Down Yoga class and the last Pieces of Presence workshop of the year.
We're so glad you're part of this community, and we can't wait to see you soon.

A Mindful Moment
As we approach the holiday season, take a moment to reflect on two questions:
What do I want to do more of this holiday season?
What do I want to do less of this holiday season?
You may find that you need to do less of some things to make space for the things you want more of. You might also recognize a tradition you’re ready to release, or that it’s time to start a new one.
A gentle reminder: you can try a new way this year and see how it feels. It doesn’t have to be permanent, unless you want it to be.
THREE Things We’re Thankful For
Our Parent/Caregiver Support Workshop. Last month, Nyla and Danielle offered a free workshop for families of students at Alliance Center for Education.
Grounded and Growing. Gabrielle is midway through this 8-week group for adolescent girls from Learning Help Centers of Charlotte. Together, they’re working through a customized curriculum on coping skills, self-confidence, and healthy relationships.
Our partnership with Soul Care Studio. It helps us connect highly skilled professionals with people and organizations who might not otherwise have access to care. Thanks to donor support, we can work within our partners’ budgets and still pay our professionals a fair rate. Check out our first fundraiser using the button below!

Pieces of Presence - Saturday, Nov 14
A Faith & Creativity Workshop for Reflection, Rest, and Spiritual Renewal
Slow down. Pay attention. Create with intention.
Life moves quickly. Between work, family, responsibilities, and constant noise, it can be difficult to notice where God is present in our everyday lives. Pieces of Presence is an invitation to step away from the hurry and spend a few intentional hours reconnecting with God, yourself, and your own creativity.
Through guided reflection, Scripture, quiet practices, and a simple hands-on creative project, you'll explore your spiritual journey in a fresh way. This isn't about making perfect art or having artistic talent. It's about creating space to listen, notice, and respond to God's presence through the creative process.
Whether you're longing for a meaningful Saturday morning, looking for a different way to engage your faith, or simply craving space to breathe, you'll leave feeling more grounded, refreshed, and connected.
What to Expect
During this two-hour workshop, you'll experience:
Guided spiritual reflection
Scripture and contemplative practices
A hands-on creative project (no artistic experience required)
Quiet time for personal reflection and journaling
Meaningful conversation in a welcoming community
Light refreshments
Everything you need is provided.
Who Is This For?
This workshop is for anyone who:
Wants to deepen their relationship with God in a fresh, meaningful way

Enjoys creativity or is simply curious about exploring it as a spiritual practice
Loves retreats, journaling, reflection, or contemplative practices
Is looking for a life-giving way to spend a Saturday morning
Doesn't consider themselves "artistic" but wants to experience God in a new way
No artistic ability is necessary. Come exactly as you are.
You'll Leave With...
